About Us

We opened Bettys Cookery School in 2001, inspired by the idea of sharing our passion for good food with our customers and the wider community, especially school children.

Now we offer over 20 courses and demonstrations a month, and welcome in over 200 school children a year to learn about ingredients and cooking. We’re happy to make our facilities available for corporate training events too, just give us a ring on 01423 814016.

Many of the courses reflect the areas of expertise within our business – breadmaking, chocolate skills, baking, Swiss and Yorkshire cooking, to name but a few – just see our Course Calendar for our current list. Whichever course you choose, you’ll find that our Cookery School tutors are friendly, fun and inspiring – and thrilled to share their skills and expertise with you.

Our Cookery School is also home to a small Cook Shop where you can buy our favourite pans, knives, cooking gadgets and kitchenware. You can also treat a friend or relative to a gift with a difference by sending them our Cookery School Gift Vouchers.
