In Asia street food reigns supreme, the best food isn't found in fancy restaurants but in the carts and stalls lining the busy streets and quiet alleys. Street food is a growing trend in the UK and these dishes celebrate the varied Asian influences. Finger food that can be eaten on the go or made as part of a meal - these dishes are packed full of flavour and leave you craving for the next bite!
Each student will work individually, preparing and making the following items to take home:
From Indonesia: Aromatic Ubud Spiced Lamb with Pea & Mint Dressing- lamb delicately spiced with cumin, fennel and juniper, finished with a light fresh dressing and wrapped in a cabbage leaf.
From China: Bao Buns with Char Siu Pork & Pickled Vegetables- beautiful light steamed buns filled with sticky succulent BBQ pork and dressed with sharp pickled vegetables.
From India: Chana Masala Curry- one of India's popular street foods is the Chana Masala (chickpea curry), medium spiced and flavoured with tea and cardamom.
